The band has provided me with so many brilliant opportunities since I joined it and I have made lots of new friends I always enjoy a day away with the Ulster Scots band because there's always plenty of craic! The tutors are very helpful and encouraging to us all, they must have a lot of patience to deal with a crowd with us!

The way that Hannah has been taught and nurtured within the last 2 years has to be commended. The approach they have with children and their music is inspiring, and I hope that the band and all associated will go from strength to strength. For Hannah to go from playing with the Ulster Scots Juvenile Pipe Band to winning the Worlds in Grade 3B in the space of a year shows what can be achieved with the right tuition, and dedication.

My children have been attending the ulster-scots Juvenile Pipe Band classes in Raphoe for the past couple years and they love it. Matthew my oldest boy just loves drumming even with his disability of being registered blind The Tutors Andy and Russell are very patient with him. Matthew now has the privilege of wearing his uniform proudly when he goes out with the Ulster-Scots Juvenile Pipe Band. It is great for Matthew as it gives him something to focus on and be part off. My two other kids Philip and Bethany have recently started tenor drumming thanks to Kerry, the tenor tutor. My youngest Jesse has just turned six and he just wants to learn the pipes since he came back from Edinburgh and fair play to Andy he has taken him on and he is very keen. I am very thankful for all the hard work that these guys put into the children and they should be very proud of what they have achieved with these kids. Thank you all so much.

The Ulster Scots Agency Juvenile Pipe Band has given my children the opportunity to learn the bagpipes thanks to the excellent teaching provided by the many tutors but more importantly it has meant that they have made new friends from all around the province.

It's a band for everyone . It was our first trip with the Band to the World's and we'll felt very much at home, great craic and great company. Looking forward to seeing the guys again. Until then, just keeping in contact over social media. Thanks Andy, Neil and to the Band Members and Parents for a great time. A great wee band.

As an RSPBA adjudicator it is very pleasing to witness the progress of the Music Service for Pipes and Drums. The dedicated work being  carried out in the Day Schools is adding significantly to the numbers taking up pipes and drums. Having had the pleasure of seeing the Ulster-Scots Agency Juveniles in the competition arena it is also clear the quality of teaching being provided is very good. I look forward to see the MSPD develop still further.

What a fantastic journey we have been on as a family and it's only beginning. With no background in piping the Ulster Scots Agency have in 3 years tutored our son to become a Grade 3A Piper. He has had many memorable experiences piping at the Tipperary Peace Price, the Walled City Tattoo, The Ulster Orchestras performances and not forgetting the World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow Green. The opportunities are endless and the Agency is inspiring a new generation of talented musicians. Well done and keep up the good work!

The Ulster Scots Agency Juvenile Pipe Band has given my children the opportunity to learn how to play the pipes and snare drum. Thanks to excellent tutors, Andy, Barney, Mark and Russell at Raphoe, Clogher and Omagh Academy. They have progressed really well and the older boy is now feeding into higher grade competition bands. They both have gained so much confidence and made new friends all over the province. Both boys have took part in: - Pipe Band competitions including The Worlds in Glasgow, and appeared on TV. - The Waterfront in Belfast with the Ulster Orchestra. At this concert they received the opportunity to appear on TV on the BBC. - The Peace Proms with the Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland in the Odyssey Arena in Belfast and the Walled City Tattoo in Londonderry. A big thank you to the tutors for all your hard work and everyone at the Ulster Scots Agency. As parents we very much appreciate it.

The experience which I got from playing with the Ulster-Scots Agency Pipe Band has got me to where I am today.  I think the program is a vital backbone to today's piping and drumming community as it provides kids with the opportunity to improve playing and get into the competition scene , I would like to thank all involved as the future looks bright for the young players.

- Matthew Donnell, Piper, September 2015

The band and the tutors have provided my 6 year old son with an opportunity to learn how to drum and work in a team with the rest of the band. Without the Ulster-Scots Agency Pipe Band he would not have had the opportunity to do this. It is an invaluable cultural resource in this day and age when the digital world has wrongly become more important than the real world for children. Thanks Andy, Mark and especially Barney for teaching our kids the skills and values associated with the pipe band community!
